For Jamie, jewelry is more than a profession, it’s a family legacy.
Jamie comes from generations of jewelers and craftsmen. His great-grandfather was a watchmaker, and his grandfather founded Harold Jaffe Jewelers in Toledo, Ohio, a respected family jewelry business known for quality craftsmanship and service.
Growing up around the bench taught Jamie not only how jewelry is made, but how meaningful it becomes when it marks life’s most important moments.
Over the past 20+ years, Jamie has refined his expertise in custom jewelry design, diamond selection, and fine jewelry craftsmanship. He spent time working alongside Lazer Wolf, one of the world’s most respected diamond cutters, gaining an exceptional understanding of diamond quality, proportions, and light performance.
Today, Jamie leads Brilliant’s custom design and heirloom redesign services, working directly with clients to create one-of-a-kind pieces that reflect their story. From custom engagement rings and wedding bands to heirloom jewelry transformations, Jamie approaches each project with a blend of old-world craftsmanship and modern design.

Katie’s background in education and the arts informs her approach to Brilliant’s client experience. She plays a central role in curating the boutique’s jewelry collections, photographing pieces, guiding clients through custom projects, and shaping the welcoming atmosphere that defines Brilliant.
